What’s the biggest problem facing DC plan advisors? It’s not about improving plan outcomes. It’s all about improving their profitability which comes through better practice management - a big part of what advisors learn at The Retirement Advisor University (TRAU) a collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. During the TRAU experience, professors and peers discuss efficiency which leads to profitability.

While over 500 Defined Contribution focused professionals have earned TRAU’s C(k)P Designation (the Certified 401(k) Professional), there are many more advisors who concentrate on DC who would benefit from TRAU’s industry leading, online and in-person educational programs - but don’t have the time to travel to UCLA or complete the 35 hours of online courses.

We have learned during the TRAU on campus sessions at UCLA and at over 100 TPSU programs conducted on other college and university campuses, that adults will interact in a safe environment with high quality content (no sales or marketing), when properly guided.

To elevate the knowledge of plan advisors, TRAU has created the TRAU Practice Management Institute (TPMI) which includes:

Half-day Programs held at local colleges and universities led by qualified and trained provider wholesalers serving as TRAU Adjunct Lecturers.
Content reviewed and approved by TRAU
Access to 13 TRAU online courses.

Benefits for Financial Advisors

C(k)P Designation holders who attend TPMI half-day programs will receive 6 hours of CE credit which would satisfy their in-person annual requirement; others will receive a $1,000 TRAU scholarship and may apply hours spent at programs and online towards their C(k)P if they enroll within 24 months.
